Durable Hookers by Dynamite Baits!
These are soft hookable baits that are great for summer floater fishing on the surface, maybe on a size 6 hook; but equally as good pinched around a size 10 hook like you would with a piece of bread.
I have been on a shallow club water recently where the Carp were topping all the time but were really wary taking from the top. I freelined these Durable Hookers on a size 6 hook and alternated between the Sweet Tiger and the Fishmeal.
My initial thoughts were that these durable hookers would go down a treat, but realised how wary the carp were on the surface that I had to drop down a few hook sizes to a size 10, again as these Durable Hookers can be easily cut or moulded by hand they are really versatile.
Once I had stepped down the tackle the bites started to come more frequently, baring in mind the size of carp in this pool is up to 10lb, so not massive, so a size 10 barbless is (should be) sufficient.
I have to say, I must of had a really bad day as I missed maybe a dozen bites and runs, some of these were because I was to keen to strike and whip the bait out of its mouth, other runs that I had lost was due to the Carp slipping the hook!
Unfortunately there are no pictures of catches but these baits are definitely worth having in the back pocket so-to-speak. If you are having a tough day they may save you from a blank!
To give you an idea of the size of the Durable Hookers I have laid two out next to a 1 pence piece.

In summary these are a versatile hookable bait, that can be moulded to any size hook and even rigged on a hair. Definitely worth a try.
Note there are more in a tub than shown, I have been using plenty over the past few fishing trips.
